About this Release
CASHLESS always knew what they wanted: punkrock at its best and with attitude! 2005 will definitely be their year. The debut album "KISSES AND LIES" is an ass-kicking straight-in-the-face record with fine, fine song material. No time to rest for the listener! The five guys from Bavaria quote bands like The Clash, Green Day or The Dropkick Murphys as their biggest influences. Besides the uptempo punk rockers like "Together We're Screaming", "Take Away" or "Bullet Proof" CASHLESS often put a little flavour of Social Distortion'ish country style into their songs ("Don't Look Back", "Home").
The guitarist's feeling for simple riffs and melodic harmonies ("Missing You"), combined with the fantastic backing vocals that make choruses so energetic and powerful, is what makes this album so outstanding. Especially "Missing You" is a track with major hit potential: catchy guitar chords, catchy hookline, simple, but passionate lyrics, all ingredients are there. It was recorded in an electric and acoustic version for this album.
CASHLESS were founded in 2000, went through the usual line-up changes, released a 7inch single and an EP named "One Hit Wonder From The Streets" and toured extensively. They played gigs with bands like Voice Of A Generation, Gluecifer, American Heartbreak, Pistol Grip, Doctor Bison, ZSK, Leftöver Crack and the great Lars Frederiksen and his Bastards.
"Kisses And Lies" was recorded with Philip Seidl from Flywatter. The album captures the talent and the energy of CASHLESS with it's pure, simple production and great sound. It will be a major step for the band.
The band has hooked up now with Modern Noise management, Engineer Records, Road To Ruin management and One Louder publishing who will make sure to spread the word to a much wider audience. Just watch out and wait - it won't be long!
