New Hidden Cabins single ‘Broken Violin’
Hidden Cabins will release their newly recorded single this month, the first since last year’s beautifully packaged, ‘Two Sides, Two Stories’, 12” LP. The new song is called ‘Broken Violin’ and was recorded and mixed down in North Carolina’s illustrious Drop of Sun Studios (Archers of Loaf, MJ Lenderman, Snail Mail) by engineer Seamus Rooney, while also featuring a guest player, Owen Walsh on fiddle, a first for the band. Owen joined Craig Cirinelli (vocals), Brian Hofgesang (guitar), Brian Leahy (drums) and Tom Conti (bass guitar) in the studio this past Summer for a whopper of a track. It’s a super catchy sing-a-long with glorious swagger instrumentally, yet snarky, tongue-in-cheek subject matter aimed at those who always find reason to complain—and does this song dig in by the end!
‘Broken Violin’ will see it’s pre-emptive debut on Friday, 6th November solely on this specific Bandcamp page for Play For Purpose, Vol. 2, a massive compilation for a very important cause!
The single sees Hidden Cabins standing among over 70+ other artists, with almost half of the songs being unreleased or unique versions not found anywhere else at the time of release, encouraging downloading while contributing.
All proceeds from this compilation will go towards Eden Autism, a school in which curator Joey Affatato’s brother has been affected by governmental budget cuts. Eden Autism does such an amazing job for him and others with autism every day. This is just a small effort by Joey to help them continue doing what they do best.
If this speaks to you, please consider donating, via downloading beginning Friday, November 6th on this specific Bandcamp page.
