Cause A Riot

CAUSE A RIOT are a punk/melodic hardcore band from Finland, formed in 2011 in Järvenpää by friends with too much time on their hands.

This year marks their 15th anniversary and nowadays Cause A Riot is a 5-piece band (original members Simo, Ari, Olli, & Petri), as Matti joined the band as a touring bassist.

Their style borrows from the 90’s and 00’s hardcore with one leg over the fence on the more melodic side of the yard.

They are said to have similarities with ENDSTAND, AS FRIENDS RUST, STRIKE ANYWHERE, HWM and BAD RELIGION.

Cause A Riot have released two albums and a bunch of EP’s while touring all over Europe and in the US (East-coast) along the way. They recently played in London and at the Manchester Punk fest.

CAUSE A RIOT a now releasing their third album, entitled “III” in the fall of 2026 with songs dealing with issues such as animal rights, inequality and wars.

This LP is jointly released by Shield Recordings, My Ruin, Engineer Records, Cat’s Claw Records on Dirty Pink vinyl.
