Turning Point - premiere

david1170

We’re thrilled to premiere “Turning Point,” a new single by Raincheck, a brilliant French hardcore band who've signed with us for their new album.

Formed in 2014 in Lyon by five guys, seasoned veterans of the punk rock scene with over 15 years of activity, Raincheck is influenced by the US punk rock / melodic hardcore of the 90’s and 00’s (NOFX,  Descendents, Lifetime, Kid Dynamite, Shook Ones…).

After a few songs and a growing number of gigs in bars and venues around Lyon, a first EP 'TRUE LOVE' comes out in 2016, and a vinyl version will be released with the support of many DIY labels – including Raincheck’s own label, Joe Cool Records, founded for the occasion.

The EP is warmly welcomed in France, Belgium and Switzerland, with concerts in Lausanne, Strasbourg, Montpellier, Marseille and a few times in Paris, the capital.

With this international and local recognition, Raincheck opened for many big bands like Lagwagon (Ninkasi Kao, Lyon), Good Riddance (Warmaudio, Lyon), Frenzal Rhomb (Gibus, Paris), or for the bosses Burning Heads (MJC Ô Totem, Rilleux-la-Pape), and did quite well – against all odds !

At the end of 2019, the band – now a four-piece – finally went back to the studios to record a second EP 'LAST CALL' – 6 tracks, but all killers, which ws released in June 2020 with the help  of several French, Swiss and German labels.

Their new album, to be entitled 'HighBro Lowbro' and due out late this autumn, is a high energy mix of melodic hardcore with powerful guitars and singalong choruses, reminiscent of Lifetime, Kid Dynamite, Bouncing Souls, No FX and Descendents.

We are always looking for great bands and ways to promote our artists and their releases.
