THE PARTY STARTS WHEN YOU WANT IT TO!
'Life's too short' is the first single from The Mistakes upcoming new album 'Die Laughing'.
Hailing from Poole, England, and playing quality punk rock and roll with a ska influence. The Mistakes bring you energetic, fast-paced, searing shout-along music that's as much a call to arms as it is an acerbic kick to the head - reminiscent of The Clash, Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Anti-Flag and The Swinging Utters.
This will be the bands fifth studio album and it's their best yet - rammed with inspirational rousing, in-yer-face, singalong punk anthems; pounding drums, pumping basslines, riotous riffage and choruses to die for, these thrilling new dozen zeitgeist- zapping songs seize your shell-likes with their clever arrangements underpinning the band’s trademark lyrical tsunami of wit, sarcasm, questioning defiance and devilment, in fact just about everything you want from a punk rock record and so much more...
'Die Laughing' will be jointly released on LP and CD by Engineer Records, NBQ Records (UK), Scene Police Records (Ger), Sell The Heart Records (US) and High End Denim Records (Can) this Summer.
There will also be a limited run of cassettes from Cats Claw Records (UK) and Coffin Curse Records (US) and a digital streaming release too. Get ready!
The video for 'Life's too short' was filmed at The Brewhouse, Poole, and Poole in general.

'Life's too short' lyrics:
Wait one minute hold on please I need some space, some time to breathe Step out of line and wait with me Wait for the world to stop spinning Life goes by whatever you do You live, you die, you reproduce And when the end comes pretty soon There’s no one left remembers you Life’s too short Too hard and yet We only get one shot, no warning This too will pass On to what’s next The sun will rise On a new morning Whatever we do What shall we do? You could live life free from sin No drink, no sex, no gambling No fun at all, die believing That the party starts when you stop breathing Or you could try some self abuse Drink, smoke, fuck and give in to Every urge that occurs to you The party starts when you want it to Life’s too short Too hard and yet We only get one shot, no warning This too will pass On to what’s next The sun will rise On a new morning Whatever we do What shall we do? you could try life working hard Smash glass ceilings and raise the bar With your handshakes and your business card Get your fancy house and fancy car Or you could try some apathy Just sit at home and smoke your weed But don’t you come crying to me When life’s not what you wanted it to be Life’s too short Too hard and yet We only get one shot, no warning This too will pass On to what’s next The sun will rise On a new morning Whatever we do What shall we do?
