When the bands are gone

The Barking Poets are going on a mini-tour to Suffolk and Yorkshire this weekend and they can't wait to make some new friends and see PET NEEDS live! The guys will see you all at the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts in Stowmarket on Friday and at The Bridge Inn/The Hive Rotherham on Saturday. Info and tickets are in the events section of their facebook here.

Here's a snippet of 'Slumming It' live for Camden Rocks Presents at the Fiddler's Elbow - Camden filmed last weekend. The video is by Rich Crooks.

Their new single 'When the Bands Are Gone' will premiere with Punk Rock Theory on Sept 3rd and you can pre-save it to your Spotify playlist now and get access to exclusive new content here: https://show.co/xSC3unK

The song is about the crisis affecting the grassroots music scene caused by gentrification and mainstream trends. It's the band's tribute to Tin Pan Alley, the 12 Bar Club and many other venues that have struggled or shut down even before the pandemic.

The Barking Poets upcoming mini-album 'Back to Abnormal' is now available for pre-order when buying ticket bundles for the launch party at the Hope and Anchor on Wednesday 29th September.

It'll include free shipping as you'll be able to collect it from the band at the venue in London... and you can even get it signed by the band members too!

There's a CD & T-shirt bundle available too. Order on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/barking-poets-album-launch-party-tickets-166963080067
