Her Head's on Fire (Chicago, US based emo/rock band with ex-members of Garrison, Saves The Day and The Bomb) wound up at an old haunt and one of their favourite venues, the Cavern in Exeter when Big Shipping (fellow sonic powerhouse from Devon UK) met them at soundcheck.

They became instant pals and an absolute banger of a night ensued, with a packed room, dancing bodies and pints for days.

the idea was hatched to commemorate that wild night with friends and record a split record for a mini tour the following year.

That year had now come around and Engineer Records is working with them to make this idea a reality.

The result is this beautiful new record! A split CD digipack with two new tracks from each band.

The US band, Her Heads On Fire, have included a song from the sessions of their most recent LP, ‘Am I Not Your Girl?’ (out now on Iodine records) and a cover of The Cure's ‘A Night Like This’, whilst the UK contingent, Big Shipping, have added two inspired new jams, recorded right on the heels of their new LP, ‘Nobody Asked for This’ (out now on Freakscene Records, the Cavern’s own label) to make a superb and limited edition tour CD you need to grab a copy of.

The pre-order for the CD goes live at Engineer Records today and the official release will coincide with the digital streaming of these tracks on 2nd October.

Tracklist:

1, HHOF – An Ocean Separates Us

2, Big Shipping – Not Today

3, HHOF – A Night Like This*

4, Big Shipping – Viscous Cycle

The new record will be celebrated by Her Heads On Fire and Big Shipping shows together in the UK this November, in Exeter, Bristol and London. (Full tour from 5th to 15th November, poster in news). Her Heads On Fire will also be supporting Texas Is The Reason at US shows in late October.
