Founded in 1998 for a one-off New Year's basement show by guitarist Mike Rock, Teddy DuChamp's Army grew from DIY punk roots into a touring force - crossing the country to share stages with bands like Hot Water Music, Strike Anywhere, Dillinger Four, Alkaline Trio and Paint It Black.
TDA reunited in Summer 2024 after being asked to open for NYC hardcore heroes Gorilla Biscuits. During rehearsals leading up to the show, Rock, vocalist Andy Wright and drummer Jeff Kopanic discovered a renewed energy to write and record together again - one they hadn't felt in several years.
...the spirit never dies... finds Rock's straightforward, hook-driven song-writing tempered by the maturity of experience and lives lived with long-time musical partners. This album find energy from new collaborators: J. Robbins on bass and Mario Quintero on second guitar.
