We’re stoked to have the first and final repress of Calathea’s beautiful ‘Flowers & Knives’ vinyl LP here.
This will be the last time to pick up the album that saw this intense band visit so many new places and meet so many new friends.
With seven energy-filled fast-hardcore tracks on one side and beautiful artwork on the other side, Calathea’s angry and powerful EP ‘Flowers & Knives’ is available for the last time now.
‘Flowers & Knives’ balances the fury of five post-hardcore tracks with the calm of two interludes that bridge the songs. These seven tracks are full of sensual chords and screams, a rhythmic structure that holds everything together with fast and heavy beats, atmospheric passages and weeping guitar sounds.
Calathea's song's lyrics delve into introspection, exploring sadness, pain, nostalgia, loss, joy, and the duality of life.
Their sound is characterised by post-hardcore with touches of post-rock, post-metal and hardcore, influenced by bands such as Touché Amoré, Deafheaven, Viva Belgrado and Boneflower.
