Government overreach has now moved into the territory of totalitarian control. In lockstep with governments throughout the world, the plan is to implement "The Great Reset" aided and abetted by the unelected and compromised "officials" of the WHO, WEF, IMF and UN. They plan to introduce a Chinese style social credit system by creating a digital prison. Digital ID will be one of those methods (among many others) to enslave us. Say No!
'The Great Resist' is the first digital single and video track taken from Assert's upcoming new album, to be released this year via Engineer Records.
The video is premiered by Mass Movement Magazine, here: https://massmovement.co.uk/the-great-resist-video-premiere/
The album was recorded at their own studio set up in Ironbridge , England, Maintaining the DIY ethic.
Guitarist Ryan Evans produced the album.
Assert from Telford, England have Six album releases over a 30 year period of often controversial hardcore punk authenticity.
Assert have toured with: Agnostic Front, Murphy's Law, Discharge, D.O.A. Cause For Alarm, Kill Your Idols, Lunachicks, The Exploited , Cro- Mags, King Prawn, Capdown and played alongside: Napalm Death, Dropkick Murphy's, Madball, Slapshot, Biohazard, GBH. Avail, Earth Crisis, Peter and the test tube babies, UK subs and many more.
Once described by Kerrang magazine as “among the most volatile hardcore bands the UK has ever produced” and given 5/5 live reviews.
Terrorizer Magazine stated : "anyone who has seen Britt and Co destroy an audience can confirm Assert are a ferocious live entity"
Mass Movement said : "Live , it is like throwing a stick of dynamite on stage and watching it explode"
Assert developed a reputation for often chaotic , explosive , unpredictable live shows , including band members playing naked.
Fronted by “whirlwind” singer “Britt” who was once named in the Sunday Times as a “subversive” involved in various anti-government movements and activities. This is a band who have stood true to their values, morals , ethics and standards , without compromise. Free of cliché, always remaining relevant and often outspoken. True survivors. Two bandmates died in tragic circumstances but Assert have survived with three original members. After a hiatus they are now preparing to release their 7th album “The Great Resist”. 13 new songs warning of government overreach, the move toward totalitarian control, corruption, the need for self-enlightenment, personal development and valuing friends and family.
Line up: Steve Brittain - vocals, Sean McCann - Bass, Shane Spencer - Drums, Ben Elphick - Guitar, & Ryan Evans - Guitar.
