Borrowing the title from Jack London's famous novel, ‘Star Rover’ outlines the most alienating aspects of working life in contemporary society, which oppresses and becomes a prison from which one can imagine and picture oneself in another life. Time is exchanged for money, and dreams are made while gasping between one breath and another, forgotten in a succession of sterile habits. It is only at the end of the song, however, that the stars one dreams of become a glimmer of hope, a solid awareness that allows, perhaps, a change of course.
Taken from the album ‘The Stars Within’, out this spring on Engineer Records / Pasidaryk Pats Records / Rival Mist / Grazil Records / I Dischi del Minollo

“Catching shooting stars like I’m a spiderweb Feeling nothing more than a gear in a trap The deal is clear Gasping for air No time for fear The deal is clear Crawling to bed No time for me I have no flair but dreaming screams in the void are whispers Nothing to sell but my seasons screams in the void are whispers Screams in the void are whispers Screams in the void are Forgotten At office In a coffin Lay things low There’s no way this is how it’s gonna end for the rest of my days there are no savings to save By now I’m dancing with days.”
