International post punk trio, BREAK TO BROKEN have announced the release date of their second full-length record, The Hope Experiment. The 12 song LP is set for a worldwide release on August 14, 2026 with a limited run of vinyl available for pre-order immediately.
To mark the announcement, the band has dropped the album's first track, "Over & In." Which is streaming for free on the scenepolice bandcamp page.
The Hope Experiment is the sound of a borderless band that has truly locked into its groove, featuring 12 songs that explore new territories while remaining anchored in the raw, driving postpunk sound the band is known for.
The limited pressing of transparent green vinyl records will be released and distributed via an international alliance of four mainstay independent labels, Engineer Records (UK), ScenePoliceRecords (Germany), Pasidaryk Pats Records (Lithuania), and Coffin Curse Records (USA).
Break To Broken is a virtual, borderless band featuring Australian musician Clinton Maher and New Jersey 90’s punk scene veterans Eli Nowak and Justin Rauschkolb. Formed when the world shut down in 2020, the trio worked across continents and time zones to become a fully functioning band. Built upon their mutual love for the 90’s Dischord Records music and DIY ethic, they continue to push the boundaries of what a band can be, connected by creativity rather than geography.
Break to Broken’s recent work features collaborations with notable figures from the US and Australian punk scenes, including a 2025 appearance by bassist Mike Watt (Minutemen, The Stooges) and guest vocals from Tim Steward (Screamfeeder). Their unique story and sound have earned airplay on Sirius XM’s Faction Punk, as well as features in a variety of other media outlets.
