Suspect Device review Zero Cost's Will and Testament
The debut album from Hull’s Zero Cost is Fat Wreck/Epitaph style skate punk, full of speedy tunes, harmonised vocals and guitars that have a tendency to stray into to rock territory. Lyrically they reflect on identity and mental health to inequality, conflict, environmental decline and the human cost of political decisions, but with a message of hope and a determination to celebrate individuality. The album contains new songs and rewordings of some older songs. I know a lot of people love that Fat Wreck style of speedy, melodic punky tunes, if that’s you then I’d be tracking down this album without delay.
