The Big Thronk! Summer

The Big Thronk! Summer is finally here! Everyone's favourite DIY chancers, Thronk! have put on their budgie smugglers, inflated their lilo's and are wading into the tides of the sweaty summer ahead. 

The trio are kicking things off on Tue 9th June with an Instagram Live session on the bands' @thronk_band account. Join the trio at 8:30pm as they go through a few tunes, hurl abuse at anyone who logs in, perhaps host a Q&A L, go through the Big Thronk Summer schedule and perhaps do some serious shit like tech tun downs and just what the hell inspired such great songs as Bombay Bad Boy (spoiler, it's the Pot Noodle experience) and There's No AI In Team.

Next up the team hit the Hot Topic podcast studio for a 3 part interview where the insanely good South Wales and West punk and hardcore scene gets a love-in along with what's joy and not in Thronk right now. This will be on You Tube and all band social media accounts.

Live and in yo face! Big Thronk Summer kicks off with the guaranteed sweat-fest of the Bristol Punx Picnic for 2 days in The Exchange (July 17th and 17th). Expect Thronk! At their banter-ridden live best along with legends like Clobber, The Restarts, The Oppressed and many, many other killer purveyors of punk in it's many guises. Some smaller shows are due to be announced before the mighty Thronk! Head up the M5 and M6 to play the 30th anniversary version of Europe's largest DIY festival, Rebellion. Thronk hit the RIS stage at 1:20om on August 7th.

Thronk have been hot off it away from the stage writing ew material for their upcoming LP but, more importantly, their own coffee (called Black Stuff) has been flying off the Merch shelves. Thronk! Have also just announced they will be joining their brilliant Brazilian mates Yur Mum as they celebrate their 10th anniversary with a UK tour later this year. The caffeine-fuelled trio hit the stage at Le Pub, Newport, with Pizzatramp also on the bill on Oct 23rd.
