Barking Poets - New video and single 'Part of the problem'

Camden punks Barking Poets have been busy recently, solidifying their set as a trio and writing new songs. They’ve been down the seaside to record the first single since their brilliant ‘Back to Abnormal’ mini-album. The new song is called 'Part of the Problem' and will premiere across all digital channels on Friday 24th June.

The single was recorded at Southsea Sounds with Tim Greaves and sets the Barking Poets new direction in a fresher sound reminiscent of the late '90s and early '00s sweet spot they've grown up loving, with lyrics representing the struggles of the world we live in these days. “We have been busy working things up as a trio and have to admit we feel readier than ever to continue rocking on. After a couple first gigs with just the three of us, in Retro Manchester and the Fiddler's Elbow, we will be ready to present the single a spart of our set at The Good Mixer on the 28th June, where we’ll be playing with our good buddies The Stayawakes and Katie MF”.

The band have also been shooting video clips for the new single, starting with some decent footage from the Audio Underground rooms, but then changing plans to have the three of them flying around on a sofa. The finished video for ‘Part of the problem’ should be great and we’ll be sure to share it with you as soon as possible.

Barking Poets will be headed back down to Southsea to continue recording their second EP for us this summer whilst fitting in as many gigs as possible.

Neil Murray: Lead Vocals, Guitars, Lyrics

Conor Heary: Drums, Backing Vocals

Ander Mendia: Bass, Backing Vocals
