SPB: What is the weirdest description you’ve heard of your music and could you see where the commenter was coming from?
David: One outlet once described our single “Fix Your Heart or Die” as “An emotionally charged piece of heavy rock combining 80's New Wave Guitars, Metalcore emotional vocals and just a touch of Goth haunted melancholic reflection”. It took me a little aback as these weren’t influences we had in mind when writing the song or the album. However, I guess I can kind of see it as bands we are influenced by might have had tinges of that kind of sound in their music.

Death of Youth’s next show is this Saturday at Piehouse Co-Op – It’s an album launch for the new Chalk Hands record on Dog Knights Productions with support from Death of Youth, Hemiptera and Elentari.
Each band playing has a new record out, showing just how rich the underground scene for this kind of music is at the moment.
Death of Youth will also be playing a weekender of supports with Mountain Peaks early in May, where they visit The Fiddlers Elbow in London on 1st May, the Akedo Gaming Bar in Lincoln on 2nd May and the Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham 3rd May, with great local supports at all gigs.
