Delighted to announce that I Like Allie have a couple of shows coming up in February powered by the mighty NoReason Booking.
We hear Base Palazzolo s/O is a beautiful venue and we know the guys can’t wait to play back in their hometown Milan for the first time since the record came out.
(Milan has been postponed now, so get along to Base Palazzolo s/O !)
I Like Allie's brilliant album 'Rare instances of independent thinking' came out late in '21 but still made it onto several 'top records of the year' lists.
Check out the write up from on Keep Track of the Time’s end of the year list here: https://keeptrackofthetime.wordpress.com/2022/01/05/ktotts-best-albums-of-2021/
“…think The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die or The Hotelier meets The Bomb, with a highlight the ethereal heartbreak pop-punk of “Get Out There, Get Superpowers and Live Your Dreams”, or the yearning choral emo-pop of the closing title track, complete with backing harmonies by Laura Stevenson.”
Check out what the mighty Punk Roquette - podcast and music had to say about it here.
“I like the mix of influences (I can hear some Lawrence Arms, Jimmy Eat World, and some pop punk riffs too) and the great arrangements on the album, as well as the collabs they made with Laura Stevenson.”
