Those loveable London punk-rockers, Barking Poets, are back and have stepped up another gear with their old-school influenced, sing-a-long, political pop-punk songs. Bringing us an absolutely blinding new EP, entitled 'Southsea Sounds'.
This rocking release will let everyone know where they and keep the London punk scene at the forefront of the new music map.
These six hook-laden rockers, recorded at Southsea Studios with Tim Greaves at the desk, are set for release on 1st September.
There will be a digital download across all channels, of course, as well as a handy CD version for blasting in your car, (that you can pre-order right now!), with a limited vinyl release scheduled for later in the autumn too, a soon as the pressing plants catch up.
The Barking Poets continue to sing their timely anthems about austerity, racism, climate change, self-belief and populist politics, all sound-tracked by riffs galore, so you'll be jumping around, or just tapping your feet and singing along in no time.
These punkers have a lot to say and people need to listen.
'Southseas Sounds' tracklist:
Getting Away With It
We Will Overcome
I Could Have Been A Contender
Punching Down
Part Of The Problem
Going Back To London Town
Several of the tracks on this release have been / will be digital singles with videos, so you can find them online, and all orders of the new CD will be shipped 1st September and receive extra punk-rock goodies from Engineer Records and the Barking Poets too!
